The body of work is about acknowledging our connection with nature, and drawing all living elements in a kind of sameness - that emphasizes that connection and puts us all back on the same playing field. It’s from an anti ‘humans as separate from nature’ type of thinking or humanness living in rejection of our animal parts. The ideas for the art are inherently anti white supremacist hetro patriarchy space, against the type of thinking that positions humans as owners of anything environmental or living.

A painting representing a person laying outside with some plants peering at a small red spider. The person is on their belly with legs bent and feet in the air, hands folded under their head. The background is a gorgeous rainbow wash of color.
